The Morning Devotional: Psalm 70

Prayer: Make haste to help us, Father, for we live in a world wrecked by sin, and we see the misery it causes in the lives of others. Indeed, we see the effects of it in our lives and the many ways in which we are assaulted because we know and love the Lord Jesus. We know that all who desire to live a godly life will be persecuted. We know that your enemies are our enemies. We know that you are ready and able to help us in all circumstances. Yet, Father, it is during times of great struggle that we are prone to failure. It is then that we need your help and guidance. Please, Father, help us, your poor and needy children. Deliver us from the hands of those who seek our ruin. Deliver us from the lies that are often told. Grant us grace and peace in a world that lacks it. Be pleased to cause us to rejoice in your for we know that you are for us and will deliver us because you alone are powerful and mighty. Thank you, our God, for your constant care, we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
