Daily Prayer for June 17, 2025: Psalm 34:1-7

I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!

4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.
(Psalm 34:1-7)

Prayer: Our God in heaven, we have many reasons to praise and bless your Name. You are good and a Father to all those who call on you. You have rescued us from the land of slavery and have set us free, placing our feet on the solid rock, which is your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. You have promised many things to us, diligently and daily conforming us into the image of your Son. You have told us that you will provide for us all that we need, even as you did so for the church of old as they journeyed to their place of rest. You have told us that you will persevere us and bring us safely to the New Heaven and New Earth. Indeed, our God, you are worthy of our praise and lives lived to magnify your great Name and show others your marvelous deeds. Yet, Father, we live in a sin-wrecked world, and we often struggle with indwelling sin. Thankfully, we can call out to you for help in times of need, and you do not turn your ear from us, regardless of the need. You are kind to us; therefore, help us to call upon you with full confidence that you will answer us and give us the grace and mercy we seek. Please support us in our pilgrimage. Strengthen us according to your lovingkindness, and help us. We pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
