The Morning Devotional: Psalm 76

Prayer: Our God, to you we give thanks and bow our knees in humble adoration for your marvelous work of redeeming a people. You are faithful, keeping your promises to thousands, guiding and directing the church to the place of their eternal rest. In the days of old, you protected your covenant people as they languished in Egypt. You watched over them when the Babylonians took them as exiles. You restored them to the place of your choosing, and the people turned to you, repenting of sin. You have given your people victory through the labor of the Lord Jesus Christ. In him, we have a sure hope of the future. Though your people are often harassed, you watch over them from your heavenly abode and bring victory to them. Please help us to trust you, our God. Please help us to look past the struggles of this life and focus our minds on the Lion of Judah. WE know he will vindicate us. We know he will conquer all his and our enemies. Please grant us a greater trust in him, we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
