The Morning Devotional: Psalm 64

Prayer: Our God in heaven, we are thankful that you are a God who sees and hears. We praise you because when we cry out to you, you, as our Father, stand ready and able to help us. Though we know that we are deserving of no good thing, you are pleased, through Christ, to preserve us from the efforts of wicked people. Though it seems that they are getting away with much of their efforts to destroy us, we know that you see and you know. Though they labor in secret and act in cowardly ways, we know that you are mindful of all those things and will deal with them according to your infinite wisdom and justice. WE thank you for helping us during times of opposition and threat. We thank you for forgiving us for the times we worry rather than trust. Please guide us all our days and help us to respond to your care with words of praise and adoration. We pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
