The Daily Prayer: Psalm 63

The Morning Devotional: Psalm 63

Prayer: Our God, we love and bless your name because you are good to us and gave us the Lord Jesus Christ. He left the comfortable glory of his eternal dwelling and came to this world, adding to his deity humanity and living a sinless life in thought, word, and deed. Like him, we too are exiles in a strange wilderness full of hate and strife. We live in a world that denies you and opposes you. Yet, in your kindness, you give us one day in seven to worship you. It is there that we reflect on your power and glory. It is there that we see your steadfast love as demonstrated in the Lord Jesus. It is there that we pray, sing, and reflect on you because you are our God and we are your people. It is there that we find rest and help for our thirsty souls. Please help us, Father. Please give us a zeal and desire for you. Please move us to love and adore you. Please remind us that we will not remain in the wilderness forever, for you have promised to bring us to where you are. Please remind us of the glory that awaits all those who love you because you first loved us. We pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
