The Daily Prayer: Psalm 101
The Morning Devotional: Psalm 101
Prayer: Our Father in heaven, we approach your throne today because we are poor and needy creatures, infected with the disease of sin, which often hinders our ways and impacts our character. Though we are your people, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we find ourselves returning to those things that displease you. We hate it, and we mourn it, and we turn to you to commit ourselves to your ways as you have commanded in your holy Word. Forgive us, Father, for being people who sometimes lack integrity before you and others. You alone know the secret things we do, and it is there that our true character is revealed. Forgive us for lacking the courage to distance ourselves from those who slander and revile others and hate your name. Instead, grant us the desire to follow you above all others. Grant us, our God, the will to walk faithfully with you and stand alone, if we must, before a wicked and sinful world. Please guard our hearts, for we know that the issues of life come from it. Please help us to carefully assess what our eyes look upon, knowing that those things will hinder us. Please help us to walk with you, pursuing holiness; we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen
