Prayer: Our God in heaven, as we read your Word today, we note the response of your covenant people after they experienced seventy years of discipline at the hands of foreigners. We are like them, our God. We are pilgrims and exiles living in a country that is not our home. We struggle at times as we see the ruinous nature of our world brought about by sin.
