Daily Prayer for April 22, 2026: Psalm 32

This prayer is aligned with The Morning Devotional from Psalm 32

Prayer: Father, we come to you today as weak creatures of dust, thankful that you are kind and compassionate towards helpless sinners. Yet, we know that your goodness displayed towards us comes at a very high price - the gift of your beloved Son, who alone cleanses us from all our sins and transgressions. Too often, Father, we are slow to run to you and plead your grace and forgiveness. Too often, we merely ask for forgiveness without being specific about what offended you. Too often, we do not see sin as you see it. Please forgive us for this attitude and behavior. We are ashamed at how easily we stray from your Word. We are like sheep that go astray. Thankfully, you are the good shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine and pursues the one. Please help us to never presume on your goodness and forgiveness. Please help us keep short accounts of sin so we can rejoice and be glad in your presence. Please give us tender consciences and teachable hearts and minds, and please keep us from the Evil One. Please help us to watch and pray lest we enter into temptation, we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
