Daily Prayer for April 21, 2026: Psalm 30
Note: This prayer goes with The Morning Devotional on Psalm 30.
Prayer: Our God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we give you thanks for a new day and a time to rejoice once again because you have rescued us from the great curse of sin: death and the grave. You have placed our feet on a solid rock: the Lord Jesus Christ. You have heard our cries for help and answered them with the joy of your salvation given to us due to the ministry and labors of our Savior. You were pleased to crush him for our sake, and as he labored for the sake of his people, he suffered at the hands of wicked people. He was crucified for our sakes, yet he entrusted himself to you and you, Father, raised him from the dead. Because of his resurrection, we have comfort knowing that we will not be left to the grave, but raised on that glorious day with a glorified body ready to serve you for all eternity. Because these things are true, we have plenty of reasons to praise you and trust in you. Though we may face uncertainty in this sin-wrecked world, we do not face the uncertainty of eternity because you, through Christ, have promised us life everlasting. Though we may physically die, we will not truly die. Though we may cease to live, we will live forever. Therefore, we have no reason to fear what man may do to us. We have every confidence that you will fulfill your promises to us just as you did for your Son. Therefore, Father, increase our faith and trust in you! Please help us to sing your praise with our voices and lives, even this day, as we humbly ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
