Daily Prayer for April 20, 2026: Psalm 27

Note: This prayer is connected to today’s The Morning Devotional on Psalm 27

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, you alone are good and kind to your people. You have condescended to our weak and pitiful state, making covenant with us and promising us the hope of salvation through your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Because we are your people and you are our God, we have no reason to fear because your eyes are always upon us. Though we know that all those who serve you will face the backlash of your enemies, we know that you protect us and help us. We thank you for giving us one day in seven to help us focus our minds and hearts on you. It is on the Lord's Day when you give us rest from this sin-wrecked world. You pull us away from the things of this world and demonstrate your love and kindness as we sing your praises and hear from you. Yet, Father, there are times when we forget your kindness. Therefore, we plead with you for grace. We need your grace to withstand being treated as strangers and orphans in this world. We need your grace to learn your ways. We need your grace to withstand the efforts of evil people who maliciously lie and slander us. Indeed, we need your grace to seek your face and plead with you for help. Please help us, our God! Please remember us for good and help us to wait patiently for you in all things. WE pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
