SCRIPTURE LESSON Isaiah 42:1-9
The chosen servant of Jehovah who frees prisoners from their dungeon.
CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN
Minister: As we have heard God’s Word read, let us humble ourselves before him, confessing our sins, praying:
All: Our glorious and holy God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we praise your name today because you have appointed a Redeemer who frees us from our sin and misery. Through Christ, we have peace of conscience and steadfast hope. In Christ, we have been granted the weapons of our warfare to fight the world, the flesh, and the enemy of our souls. Our God, forgive us for forgetting that greater is he that lives in us than he that lives in the world. Please grant to us more of your Spirit and as you do overcome evil in this world. We pray these things in the name of the Savior, your Son, and our Lord. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON

All: Amen.
