The Morning Devotional: Psalm 95

Prayer: Our God, you alone are worthy of our praise and shouts of joy in song because you are a great God and a great King over all gods and kings of this fallen world. We praise you because you have made all creation in the space of six days and all very good. We bow before you because you are glorious and majestic, and when we come to worship you, we pray that we will hear from you as your Word is preached. Father, we confess that we often behave like the church of old, grumbling and complaining about circumstances of our lives. Too often we hear your Word, and it does not affect us. We are quick to hear, but very slow to do what we hear. Forgive us, Father, for you are worthy of much better than we often offer to you. We desire your blessing and grace and count on your Spirit to help us. Please help us to worship you, we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
