The Morning Devotional: Psalm 93

Prayer: Our God, you alone are the true King of heaven and earth. You have established your throne from of old. It is a throne that always was and always will be. It is a throne from which you speak and accomplish your holy will in the affairs of men. It is from this throne that you created the world. It is from this throne that you promised a Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is from this throne that you judge the actions of men, and it is from this throne that you will perform your holy will. Because you are the King, we can trust you, though we confess that there are many times when we fail to place our hope in you. Though we know you are the one, true, and eternal King, we sometimes find ourselves fretting over the affairs of this world. We confess, our God, that when we see the chaos of this fallen world, we grow anxious, though we know we have no reason to worry, for you rule and reign over all. Forgive us and help us to trust you. Please guide us as a faithful and good King, robed in holiness and power; we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
