The Daily Prayer: Psalm 62

The Morning Devotional: Psalm 62

Prayer: Our God, we confess that we are not prone to wait in silence for you, especially when we are facing difficulties from others. We confess that we are prone to resisting your will and grumbling against it instead of submitting to your divine purposes in our lives. Too often, Father, we turn to others who cannot ultimately be trusted and forget that it is you alone that we must turn. We know the promises of your Word. We know that you are our refuge and rock. We know we can find safety with you, even as we may be experiencing struggles from within and without. Please teach us to submit to you. Please teach us to wait patiently for your divine purposes to work in and through us. Please help us remember that you are for us and that no real harm can come to us from those who hate you. Please teach us your ways and give us your Spirit, we pray and ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
