The Morning Devotional: Psalm 117

Prayer: Our God in heaven, you alone are worthy of our praise and love, for you have made all things. You created us in your image for the express purpose of bringing all glory and honor to your name. We are humbled at the thought that you are pleased to accept our worship only because of your great love in giving us the Lord Jesus Christ. It is good and right for us to praise you because you have done great things for us. Forgive us, Father, for the times we merely offer your oiur words and not our hearts. Forgive us for our labor of worship that falls very far short of your glory. Forgive us for our cold hearts and warm them by your Word. We thank you for your steadfast love - a love that will never change. You demonstrated that love by giving us your Son. Thank you for your faithfulness toward a very unfaithful people. Please help us, our God, to walk faithfully before you as our act of service and love to you for all you do for us. We pray that all mankind would love you. We pray for the salvation of the nations. We pray for your glory to be seen throughout the entire earth. Please, our God, show us your glory; we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
