Daily Prayer for the Lord's Day, March 29, 2026

Prayer: Our God, you graciously give us one day in seven for many reasons. We are pilgrims in this world, and you know that we need rest from the onslaught of it and all the flows from it. We are sheep, and we like to wander from the paths you are leading us. You give us this day to remind us of your love and care. We are weak, and you give us the Lord's day to feed us with your Word and the Sacrament of your Son's table. We are forgetful, so you give us this day to remind us of your promise to lead us to green pastures and the glories of the New Heavens and Earth. We are often lonely, so you give us this day to fellowship with our brothers and sisters. Most importantly, Father, you are our God, and we are your redeemed people. Therefore, we should desire to worship and exalt you. We confess that we often come with poor motives and desires. We often come seeking what we will get from this day instead of what you desire. Forgive us and help us. Though we wrestle with these things, we are thankful that you will never abandon the work of your hands. We know that, because to do that, you would have to abandon your Son. So, Father, please give us an abundance of grace and Spirit today, we ask and pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
