Daily Prayer for the Lord's Day, February 22, 2026

Prayer: Grant, almighty God, that we would behold your majesty and power as we gather to worship you today. We are in desperate need of your presence and Word. We greatly need to feed upon the bread of life. We need to hear the voice of our Savior as your Word is preached. Grant your Spirit to open our minds and hearts. Grant to us your forgiveness for our many sins and transgressions against your holy law. We long to obey you because you have redeemed us from the land of slavery. You have placed our feet on a solid rock that is the Savior. You give us hope for today and tomorrow. You make promises to us to lead and guide us to our heavenly rest. Please persevere us and cause us to use the means of grace you give. Please protect us from the Evil One, who desires to destroy your people. 

Your work of salvation humbles us. We know we can make no claim for what you alone have done for us. You gave us the Lord Jesus. You raised him from the dead. He is alive, making intercession for us at your right hand. We come today to praise him on this first day of the week. Therefore, Father, fill our minds and mouths with praise to you, the one true and living God. We pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
