Daily Prayer for the Lord's Day, April 5, 2026

Prayer: Our God, you who are holy, the God of all creation and maker of all things visible and invisible, we bow before your throne this morning to praise you for your work of redeeming sinners from the land of misery and slavery. We thank you, our God, that you did not treat us as we deserve. Instead, you were pleased to crush your Son for our sake. You willingly and gladly offered him as the spotless lamb to cleanse us from all our sin and wash us as white as snow. We thank you for the ministry of your beloved Son, who came to his own, and his own rejected him. We praise you for his life of service and obedience to you, all for our sake. We thank you that he, for the joy that was set before him, gladly went to the cross to suffer the shame. It is there he endured your eternal wrath for sinners' sake. It was there he died and was buried in a borrowed tomb. From there was wass raised for our justification and sanctification. He conquered sin and the grave for our sake that we might have peace of conscience before you. We praise you for your wonderful work and seek your face this day as your adopted children. Please help us to walk worthy of the calling on our lives. Please grant us more help, by your Spirit. Please forgive us for our many sins and transgressions and teach us to seek your kingdom and righteousness throughout our lives. We pray these things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
