Daily Prayer for April 23, 2026: Psalm 37:1-7
This prayer is aligned with The Morning Devotional from Psalm 34:1-7
Prayer: Our Father, we confess and lament the reality of this sin-wrecked world that brings so much heartache and suffering. We look around, and we see our friends and loved ones suffering from illness and disease. We see families fractured and ruined. We see people diagnosed with terrible things, and we witness the utter atrocities against your redeemed people. Father, we know these things are what they are because of our sin. We know that sin introduced a life of misery and death. Though we are your children, we know that we will suffer these things and more; we are not immune. Yet, Father, we cry out to you for help, knowing that you are kind to hear us and work for our good. We know that you do not always deliver us from these trials in this life, but you will in the life to come. We know that you can do all things, but are not always willing. Yet, we praise you, knowing that you do not leave us alone. You are with us and uphold us in the worst of circumstances. You upheld your Son during his earthly ministry. You did not leave him to the grace. You resurrected him and brought him from his exile to your right hand. In Christ, we look forward to those things. Therefore, we exalt your name and give you thanks for your marvelous grace. We pray these things through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
