Providence Presbyterian Church is…

  • A Christ-Centered Church — We delight in exalting the Lord Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men. (Galatians 2:20; Philippians 1:21)

  • A God-glorifying church — we delight in bringing honor and glory to the true and living God (1 Cor. 10:31).

  • A Bible-believing church — We delight in upholding, teaching, and proclaiming the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God as contained the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • A Presbyterian Church — We are a conservative Presbyterian church. A Presbyterian Church is governed by a group of men called elders (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). As a Presbyterian church, we are formally connected to other churches for mutual help, aid, support, and accountability. Providence is a member of the Vanguard Presbyterian Church.

  • A Confessional Church — We subscribe to the historic creeds and confessions of the Christian faith. Specifically, our doctrinal standards are summarized by the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms. (2 Timothy 1:13)

  • A Loving Church — We strive to be obedient to the summary of God’s moral law, the Ten Commandments, by loving Him and loving one another. (Matthew 22:37-40)
