Call to Worship

Psalm 48:1-2
Minister: Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God!
His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation,
is the joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
the city of the great King.
All: Amen.

Our holy God has determined that we would hear his voice
Corporate Confession of Sin

Minister: As we gather before our holy God, let us now humble ourselves, praying together:

All: Almighty God, you alone are holy, and you have spoken to your people in your Word. Though the unregenerate remain deaf to your Word, we have been granted ears to hear. We thank you that you have opened them to your eternal truth. Forgive us for not always listening carefully to all you tell us. We are your servants, and we desire to listen and do all that you tell us. Thank you for forgiving us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon
John 10:27-29
Minister: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
All: Amen.

Confession of Faith             Westminster Shorter Catechism Q1-3
Mr. Mason Scroggins, Ruling Elder

Minister/Elder: Q. 1. What is the chief end of man?
All: Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

Minister/Elder: Q. 2. What rule hath God given to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy him?
All: The Word of God, which is contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, is the only rule to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy him.

Minister/Elder: Q. 3. What do the Scriptures principally teach?
All: The Scriptures principally teach what man is to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of man.
All: Amen.

Prayer Needs of the Persecuted Church
Dr. Lloyd Long, Ruling Elder

Pastoral Prayer and Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
