CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN
All: Our Father in heaven, we thank you and praise you for your mercy and grace. We are humbled that you do not treat us as our sins deserve. From the first fall and throughout history, you have purposed to redeem a people for yourself, and you did that in the coming of Christ our Lord. We are thankful for him who knew no sin becoming sin for us that we would have peace with you. Forgive us for our sins of omission and commission. Though we are your royal priesthood, we fall short of your glory. Thank you for the forgiveness that comes through Christ our Lord. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Hebrews 4:14-16
Minister: Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
