§CALL TO WORSHIP

Psalm 100 (Responsively)

Minister: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

All: Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Minister: Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

All: For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

All: Amen.

CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN

Minister: Almighty God, we praise you and thank you for your mercy and grace. Though we are sinners and creatures of dust, we have been freed from the dominion and tyranny of sin. No longer are we identified by that which enslaved us. The truth has set us free. Yet, due to our indwelling sin, we often wander from the path you have set before us. Each day we sin in thought, word, and deed. We mourn our indwelling sin, but with gladness and joy, we are thankful that you are a God who forgives sin. Therefore, forgive us, Lord. Please be pleased to grant us the Eternal Spirit as you have promised that we might walk in your ways, trusting and depending on you for all that we need. We pray these things in the matchless name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Romans 5:1
Minister: Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
All: Amen.

CONFESSION OF FAITH Westminster Confession of Faith Ch. 13
Mr. Mason Scroggins, Ruling Elder

Elder: What do the Scriptures teach regarding the doctrine of Sanctification?

1. They, who are once effectually called, and regenerated, having a new heart, and a new spirit created in them, are further sanctified, really and personally, through the virtue of Christ's death and resurrection, by his Word and Spirit dwelling in them: the dominion of the whole body of sin is destroyed, and the several lusts thereof are more and more weakened and mortified; and they more and more quickened and strengthened in all saving graces, to the practice of true holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

2. This sanctification is throughout, in the whole man; yet imperfect in this life, there abiding still some remnants of corruption in every part; whence ariseth a continual and irreconcilable war, the flesh lusting against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh.

3. In which war, although the remaining corruption, for a time, may much prevail; yet, through the continual supply of strength from the sanctifying Spirit of Christ, the regenerate part doth overcome; and so, the saints grow in grace, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
