CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN
All: Our Father in heaven, we thank you for your Word that is a light to our path. We thank you for the preaching of your Word when the seed of it is cast on the hearts and minds of men. We confess that we don’t always seek to bring forth fruit of it in our lives. Too often, we allow the cares of this world and the persecutions and trials of this life to distract us from a correct understanding of it. Forgive us for not heeding the warnings of the parable we have heard and read. Forgive us for treating your Word as common, not heeding all it tells us. Please help us, by the eternal Spirit, to hear and do all that we hear. These things we pray through Christ our Lord, the living Word. Amen.
