~WORSHIP IN PRAISE~

§CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 46:1-7

Minister:
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
All: Amen!

CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN

All: Almighty God, we thank you for your infinite goodness and kindness displayed toward us. In your perfect wisdom, you have determined to rescue poor, helpless sinners. You did so through the work of your Son. In Christ alone, by faith alone, we now have peace with you. Yet, we know our sins, and they are ever before us. We know that we fall short of your glory. We know that we sometimes resist forgiving others as you have forgiven us. Please forgive us, Father. Please grant us tender hearts to hear and do what you command. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON
1 John 1:9

Minister: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
All: Amen.

CONFESSION OF FAITH The Westminster Larger Catechism Q70
Mr. Chris Turner, Ruling Elder

Q. 70. What is justification?

A. Justification is an act of God's free grace unto sinners, in which he pardoneth all their sins, accepteth and accounteth their persons righteous in his sight; not for anything wrought in them, or done by them, but only for the perfect obedience and full satisfaction of Christ, by God imputed to them, and received by faith alone.
