§CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 148:1, 13-14
Minister:
Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his majesty is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for his people,
praise for all his saints,
for the people of Israel who are near to him.
Praise the Lord!
All: Amen.

The shepherds of Israel compared to the true and good Shepherd
CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN
All: Our great and glorious God, the faithful and righteous Shepherd of your people, we praise your name today because you have gently and carefully guided all of our steps. Unlike our earthly shepherds, you never fail us, always fulfilling your perfect will in our lives. Forgive us for being people who are prone to wander, requiring your constant pursuit. Forgive us for our lack of trust in the Good Shepherd who gave his life that we might have union and communion with you. Grant us a willing spirit to cast our whole lives on you, and trust you, we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Romans 5:1
Minister:
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
All: Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER AND LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
