Lesson: Pray for Laborers
Praying for the Local Church
· Worship.
· Preaching:
o Preparation for the pastor each week.
o Pray for fruit to come from the preaching of the Word of God.
· Growth (spiritual and numerical).
o Please pray for ten new families/individuals to join us this year.
o Please pray that we would be a congregation committed to the glory of God (WSC Q1; 1 Cor. 10:31); that we would grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Pet. 3:18) and love one another (1 John 4:7-10).
· Outreach:
o Trail Life
o American Heritage Girls
· Deacon and Elder training.
· The finances of the church.
· A church building
o Pray for the building search committee.
· Illiana presbytery:
o Westminster (Vincennes): They are still seeking a pastor.
o Presbytery meeting here on Jan. 15th.
o Pray for Brent Easton (Teaching Elder) who is struggling with COVID19
· The Presbyterian Church in America.
· Our families:
o Pray for those who are diligently laboring to teach their children the WSC.
o Pray for godly families.
o Pray for our covenant children.
o Pray for the conversion of our unsaved family members.
Praying for the Needs of the Saints and the World
WORLD
· The persecuted church and our brothers and sisters abroad.
· Pray for those impacted by COVID-19.
NATION
· Our nation (1 Tim 2:1-2): The POTUS and his cabinet; The V-P; Congress.
· The church in the USA: revival; repentance.
· Pray about the tensions between the USA and Russia.
PROVIDENCE CHURCH (PCA)
· David Matzen requests prayer for his son (seeking a job) and his daughter. Praise that his grandchildren have all recovered from COVID.
· Pray for Grant Spencer (undisclosed request).
· Pray for Aaron Straight as he looks for a new position.
· Pray for the three men who have been nominated as officers of the church: David Matzen (Elder), Chris Turner (Elder), and Aaron Straight (deacon). Pray for their training and sustaining grace and protection from the evil one.
· Pray for Kay Keller’s grandson, who has Crohn’s Disease.
· Pray for the Congregational Meeting scheduled for Jan. 16th.
