Call to Worship
Psalm 66:1-4
Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
sing the glory of his name;
give to him glorious praise!
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.”

Scripture Lesson Psalm 2
The Son of God is the King of heaven and earth.
Corporate Confession of Sin
Minister: My brethren, let each of you present himself before the face of the Lord, and confess his faults and sins, praying together with me:
All: Almighty God and our Father, we praise you and thank you that you are sovereign and the true King of heaven and earth. We confess to you our tendency to be anxious about matters of this life. We know that you have told us to trust you. Forgive us for forgetting the promises you have made to your people. Please increase our faith and our trust in you. We pray these things in the name of Christ. Amen
Assurance of Pardon
Deuteronomy 4:31
Minister: For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.
All: Amen
Confession of Faith The Apostles’ Creed
Ruling Elder Mason Scroggins
Elder: Congregation, what is it that you believe?
All:
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirt;
the holy catholic(1) church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting. Amen
(1) The term “catholic” means universal.
Pastoral Prayer and Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
