All: Our God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we praise your name and give you thanks because you are our God, and you have called us out of the world, redeeming us through the work of Christ. We confess to you that we often fail to govern our tongues. We the same mouth we praise you and curse men. With the same tongue, we pray to you and slander others. Forgive us, Father, for such a grievous sin. Please erect a muzzle over our mouths that we may not sin against you we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
